Candles to
brighten your world.
Coconut-soy candles handpoured on a small farm where the ocean meets the mountains. Crystal jars, timber or glass lids, a range of sizes. One maker. One studio.
Susa Australia is a small-batch, Australian-made artisan candle maker on the Mid North Coast of NSW, near Forster-Tuncurry. Founder Suzy McCarthy handpours every candle in her Darawank studio using pure coconut-soy wax, lead-free natural wicks, and toxin-free fragrance oils. The Crystal Jar range comes in four vessels — Timber Lid Classic and Provincial Classic (380g, 60–70 hour burn) and Glass Bowl and Studio Stone (750g, 100 hour burn). Free Australia-wide shipping on orders over $99, Afterpay supported, and studio pickup is available Thursday to Saturday, 10am–4pm at 117 Manns Road, Darawank NSW 2428.
What's actually
in the wax.
Every candle is described as a perfumer would — top, heart, base. No mystery names. No "Relax" or "Energy." Pick one on the left to read its pyramid on the right.
How to burn
your candle.
A few basics that get you the full burn your candle was designed for.
- Let the wax melt fully to the edge of the vessel on the first burn — this prevents tunnelling and gives you the full burn time the candle was designed for.
